Bryan Meek-Common Council (D)
Known as Norwalk’s lone Republican Councilman (currently serving) and outspoken critic, Bryan Meek has served many years in our Community in numerous capacities.
Meek served as Chairman of the Norwalk Parking Authority as well as Board of Education and most recently Council in District D. He has been active with many different campaigns and has most recently been very active in weighing in on Charter Revision, Proposed Zoning and the NPS School budget. Bryan was an advocate with former BOE Member Mike Barbis of the South Norwalk school and he worked closely with Barbis on many different projects that the two shared common interests and were passionate about. Bryan is a devoted husband and father with school aged children attending Norwalk public schools and Cal Ripken Baseball. When not at the field cheering his kids on and being dad, Bryan is a finance guru at Oracle where he has been employed for 15 + years. As a result, Bryan Meek served as Finance Committee Chair as a BOE Member and has been very vocal around the city’s budgets and instrumental in ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency. Bryan advocates for strong public input and was adamant that meetings return in person, so that the public can participate with full access to elected officials and city staff. Bryan believes that elected officials, serve residents and it is imperative for them to be accessible to the public and show up in person at meetings.
Bryan Meek is seeking election to the Council in his district. He is sharp, knowledgeable and not afraid to speak out for what he believes is right for the residents of Norwalk.
